Rain or shine
This is an afternoon conditioning hike to help us prepare for the upcoming backpacking season. We'll start at the Mount Si trailhead, then hop on the Roaring Creek Trail to the Mount Teneriffe Trail and head all the way up to the bottom of the Haystack (no scrambling at the summit). From there, we'll have a short snack break and then take the Mount Si main trail all the way down to the Mount Si trailhead.
Since this is an afternoon hike, we need to be time efficient. Participants must be able to comfortably do Mount Si round trip in 4 hours.
There may still be snow at the summit, so microspikes are required.
A decent portion of the trip (at the very least the descent) will be after sunset, so headlamps are required.
Discover Pass required for parking.
