This field trip will give B3 students the opportunity to try out gear and new skills on an easy overnight backpack with an experienced mentor. Priority to Luis&Karla mentor group until April 15th

Mink Lake Trailhead (Sol Duc HotSprings Parking) in the morning. Time TBD
Need an ONP pass or the interagency pass to park.
Day 1: TH to Deer Lake. 5.5 mi 2800ft of ascent.
Day 2: Deer Lake to Sol Duc Park. 8 mi, 2400 ft of ascent.
Day 3: Sol Duc Park to TH. 7 mi,1100 ft of loss
This is a challenging trip due to the elevation profile. Please consider the daily gain before requesting permission. When contacting me, please share recent 10+ mi hikes that you have done, or with 4000ft+ of gain.
