Introduction to Winter Trail Running: Snowshoe Running - Ascent Outdoors, Redmond

Learn how to get started with winter trail running: we'll talk lights, gear, clothing, and traction devices.

  • For Beginners (Getting Started Series)

Meet at 6:30pm at Ascent Outdoors in Redmond:

7330 164th Ave. NE, E145, Redmond, WA 98052

Running in the winter poses challenges even for the seasoned trail runner. Join us and learn about all things winter trail running, from lighting to clothing and gear choices. We will cover various traction devices and when to use them, including running-specific snowshoes. This is a hands-on learning experience so there will be a gear show and tell as well as Q&A. Feel free to bring your own gear as well as your questions.

This session is great preparation for the Foothills Trail Running Committee's special excursion on snow on Saturday, Feb. 2, 2019:
