Winter Trail Running Conditioning Course runs from 4-6 miles. You will need to complete 2 course runs per month over Dec, Jan and Feb to graduate.

We will follow a generally southward route through Saint Edward State Park and into Big Finn Hill Park and then looping  back on roughly parallel paths.  A final sprint on the Arrowhead trail will finish our run. This route stays high and does not drop down to the lake.

Meet at 8:00 am at the Arrowhead Elementary School parking lot (6725 NE Arrowhead Drive - Kenmore). Following introductions, description of route, and current trail conditions. No passes required.  Total distance: 4.8 miles and 400 feet of elevation.

Please wear layers of breathable, technical clothing suitable for outdoor aerobic activities for this course's activities.

  • Waterproof jacket, hat, buff, gloves, sunglasses; running-specific gaiters recommended
  • Warm mid-weight layer (e.g. down vest or wool long sleeve)
