Winter Trail Running Conditioning Course runs from 4-6 miles. You will need to complete 2 course runs per month over Dec, Jan and Feb to graduate.

We will follow a generally counter-clockwise loop for ~4.6 miles total distance with about 700 ft elevation gain through Saint Edward State Park. We will warm up on the Juanita and Volunteer trails, then descend the North trail. We'll run along the waterfront and climb the Seminary trail. We'll add in the Orchard Loop, then head toward the Water Tower, but cut back on the Plateau trail. A final sprint on the Arrowhead trail will finish our run.

Meet at 5:00 pm at the Arrowhead Elementary School parking lot (6725 NE Arrowhead Drive - Kenmore). Following introductions, description of route, and current trail conditions. No passes required. Bathroom available after about 2 miles next to the beach.
Required Equipment
Please wear layers of breathable, technical clothing suitable for outdoor aerobic activities for this course's activities.
- Waterproof jacket, hat, buff, gloves, sunglasses; running-specific gaiters recommended
- Warm mid-weight layer (e.g. down vest or wool long sleeve)
- Trail running shoes
