Everett Mountaineers Sea Kayak Baker Lake Shindig

EMSK Baker Lake Shindig Sept 4- 7, 2026

Join the Everett Sea Kayak community for a fun weekend at Horseshoe Cove Campground at Baker Lake.  Family and friends are invited.  We visit, hike, ride bikes, walk dogs, paddle, read, sleep, and other stuff. Weather permitting there will folks paddling on Saturday and Sunday.  The groups will decide where they want to paddle that weekend. There’s also a group potluck on Saturday night.  Hamburgers, hot dogs, buns, and condiments will be provided so bring a side dish and/or dessert to share and your own beverages.

This is an event we start promoting to the EMSK membership every fall.  This year we have reserved Group C  which can fit up to 25 people with 5 cars/campers. We currently have 14 people committed to the group site but can add more if you let us know by January 1st. Price will depend on how many folks commit by Jan 1st. We will leave a few spots open for 2026 students.

 Individual EMSK members can reserve campsites starting in March 2026.  The closest sites to the group are sites 13-15 but anything in the North loop is good.  Reservations for individual campsites can be made six months in advance and reservations for these campsites sell out very quickly! Reservations should open at 7am on March 4th. If you wanted to extend a few days earlier make sure to register exactly 6 months before the start date.  It’s always possible sites will open up closer to the date but its best to get your reservation early.  Many folks share their campsites so if you are seeing this too late to get your own spot please let us know and we can probably find a space for you and your tent!

If you are making your own reservations; please let Peishan Tan know which site you reserve (peishan.and.jeff@gmail.com) or let her know if you need a place to pitch a tent.   We typically end up sharing some campsites. 

Don't love to camp? Plan to come up early on Saturday and stay through the evening potluck.  Launch time for the paddle is typically 10am.
