  At home in the tidal currents of the San Juan Islands, Patrick has spent a good part of the last six years building and paddling traditional skin-on-frame kayaks. He began with romantic ideas, dog-eared books, and little relevant experience—and learned the rest the hard way. He’ll share what that journey has taught him, and why he’s passionate about putting traditional kayaks to the test in kinetic coastal environments.
