The purpose of the clinic is to help you learn and improve your top rope belaying and climbing techniques. We will be climbing trad routes, not bolted sport routes.

This clinic is primarily for Everett Basic Climbing Course students. Non-priority participants may request leader’s permission starting Monday, 11 May. Participants must have at least a top rope belay badge.

Assistant leaders/instructors must have a “Leading Trad Routes” badge to assist in setting up top rope anchors.

We’ll meet in Index at 4:30 pm. Parking will be on Crescent Street, on the east side of the railroad tracks. Please be respectful guests of the Index town community and do not park on the residential streets near Doolittle Park.

We’ll plan on hiking to the Private Idaho crag, about 15 minutes. If it’s too busy we’ll continue hiking 10 minutes to Lookout Jr.
