As 2025 comes to a close, we wanted to take a moment to reflect on some of the moments that made this year memorable. From thoughtful reviews and engaging author interviews to lively events and meaningful conversations, there was no shortage of great work and shared experiences. While it’s impossible to capture everything that happened over the course of the year, we’re excited to share a few standout highlights from what was truly a full and rewarding 2025.
Woodpecker by Paul Bannick
“The book is spectacular. I mean, it’s so information-filled, but the pictures, of course; your photography is just, wow.” –Margaret Roach

Woodpecker at Town Hall Seattle
Around 400 avian aficionados joined us to hear Paul Bannick discuss Woodpecker, asking great, informed questions during the audience Q&A. We had wonderful event partners, including Birds Connect Seattle who brought real woodpecker specimens, Washington Audubon who had pins of Paul’s woodpecker photos they were giving out and a “Which Woodpecker Are You” quiz for attendees, Conservation Northwest, Elliott Bay Book Co., and of course our host Town Hall.
Eventually a Sequoia by Jeremy Collins
“This exuberant travelogue from activist and artist Collins (Drawn) offers a front-row seat to conservation efforts in some of Earth’s most vulnerable and remote ecosystems…. A paean to seeing as practice, this delivers an impassioned portrait of the hard work of environmental activism and the fragile beauty at stake.” —Publisher’s Weekly

BeWild Event at The Mountaineers Seattle Program Center
Jeremy Collins mobile art installation and conversation with Pulitzer Prize winner Tessa Hulls, in partnership with the Sierra Club
150 engaged attendees enjoyed Jeremy’s immersive performance with thoughtful commentary on conservation, advocacy, and art, followed by conversation with Tessa on what it means to Adventure with Purpose.
All Humans Outside by Tommy Corey
"A reflective look at the varied ways people’s lives are forever changed by nature through sustainability and conservation work, outdoor sports and recreation, community building, and more." —The Revelator
Tommy Corey & Panelists at Seattle Town Hall
Tommy was joined by contributors Kim Merrikin, Anastasia Allison, Tasheon Chillous, Hector Rafael, and Shaynedonovan Elliott to discuss the importance of the diverse ways people engage in, around, and with nature.
