The Seattle Photography Committee is  scheduling activities for the spring and summer. You don't have to be a member of the Photography Committee to sign up for any of these events! Our goal is to combine good photography skills with other Mountaineer activities. Join us!

Photographing Indigneous People of Ethiopia (Seattle Program Center)

Eric Radman, a local event and people photographer based on Mercer Island, recently spent two weeks in Ethiopia, photographing the tribes of the South Omo River Valley, near the South Sudan border.

Disappointed by bad images?  Totally mystified by all the controls and menus on your camera?  Then this is the course for you.  We combine both lecture on Basic Photography techniques and camera operation and a hands-on section that will demystify your camera so that you can make better images.

October 1, 2017 | Chain Lakes Loop Day Hike & Photography

Stunning day hike includes several alpine lakes; views of Mt Shuksan and Mt. Baker; starts and ends at Artist Point. There will be other hikes available this weekend as part of the weekend event.

Monthly Potluck Social & Photo Presentations

We invite everyone to come check us out at our monthly potlucks where we share food, socialize and show what we have been photographing. Eating/socializing starts at 6:30pm and announcements/photo sharing starts at 7pm. Please bring food to share.

If you wish to share photos at the potlucks, you may share up to 8 images. Each image should be 72 dpi and roughly 1024 x 768 pixels. Bring your images on a thumb drive for transfer to the club computer.

If you don’t have a program like Photoshop to resize your images, you can do it at a free site like Resize Image
