In mid January, The Mountaineers hosted the Banff Centre Mountain Film Festival World Tour in Seattle. Benaroya Hall came alive over two nights as more than 3,600 people gathered for this year’s unforgettable screenings.

Audience Picks
The first evening showcased films from the Moraine program which included audience favorites The Best Day Ever, The Hive Architect, and Dissidence. On the second evening, the Serac program included audience favorites Emil & Karl - Little Wheels, Big Mountains (Tour Edit), Old Man Lightning (Tour Edit), and Robson. Across both evenings, these films highlighted the power of community, the resilience the outdoors can ignite in all of us, and the importance of protecting the wild places that inspired these stories.
Both evenings featured raffle drawings after intermission, keeping the excitement high as audience members waited to see if their ticket would be called. We were also thrilled to welcome Mikah Meyer of Canyon Chorus—an Official Selection of the 2024 Banff Film Festival—who joined us on stage to help draw the raffle winners. The Mountaineers is deeply grateful to our local raffle sponsors, whose generous donations made it possible to offer such sought-after prizes.
Perks for Peak Society
The Mountaineers was also proud to recognize and celebrate our Peak Society donors at this year’s screening with a special reception on the first night and comped tickets. Our Peak Society members bolster our ability to serve a growing outdoor community in ways we could not do with earned revenue alone. Their significant financial gifts directly support mission-enhancing priorities such as scholarships, leadership development, youth programs, and our conservation & advocacy efforts to protect public lands and waters. As a benefit of becoming a Peak Society member, The Mountaineers hosts several donor appreciation events and provides complimentary tickets to special events.
