You may have one or more reason for wanting to become a hike leader:  developing leadership skills, doing your hike- your way, mentoring others, developing friendships, or promoting the power of nature. What ever your reason, this class will teach you the skills that will start you on this new trail of adventure!

You will learn the details of how to handle setting up a hike, screening your participants, communicating with the group, group dynamics and management, dealing with difficult situations (common trail hazards, medical situations), and how to close out your activity.
