10 ESSENTIAL QUESTIONS:

WHAT FIRST BROUGHT YOU TO THE MOUNTAINEERS?

I was looking for like-minded people who are passionate about the outdoors and can provide me with a community with which to share that love, participate in activities, learn, and grow my skills.

What does adventure mean to you?

Getting out of my routine and making new memories.

WHAT INSPIRES YOU TO DONATE TO THE MOUntAINEERS?

It is always easy to skip donating and assume that "others will donate" and "things will be ok" - until they aren't. The organization and its mission are aligned with my values and what's important to me, and I want to do my part to ensure the organization thrives - both for the community and for preserving our natural resources.

What impact do you hope to have in our community through your donations?

I hope to enable more outdoor activities and higher participation by supporting the creation of new opportunities, retaining existing organization offerings, and enabling everyone who is interested to participate in activities through subsidized plans.

 Lightning Round

Sunrise or sunset? Sunrise
Smile or game face? Smile
What's your favorite close-to-home outdoor activity?
Climbing Tiger Mountain via the Section Line and running down the main trail. I've done that up to four times in a row.
What's your 11th Essential? My Kindle (for multi-day excursions). Kind of corny coming from an Amazon employee, right?
What's next on your bucket list? Ouray 100 mile race - finished in 2023 but want to do it again and improve on my time.
If you could be adept at any outdoor activity overnight, what would it be? Rock climbing - I struggle with 5.6 climbs and stand in awe watching serious climbers in their element, climbing impossible (to me) walls.
