Grassroots Giving in Washington - GiveBIG is coming back on MAY 3 & 4, 2022

We're excited to kick off our spring fundraiser by participating in GiveBIG!

GiveBIG is a statewide movement of generosity, where donors like you come together to invest in our region. You can use the Washington Gives platform to easily find all the causes you already help fund, share about the organizations that mean the most to you, and to find new ones to support. Donations to The Mountaineers during GiveBIG will help unlock even more funding through a unique matching opportunity.

Grassroots giving in Washington

Access to green spaces and wild places have played a critical role in supporting our physical and emotional wellbeing for generations. More and more, people are seeking refuge in the outdoors. At The Mountaineers, it is our mission to provide experiences and educational opportunities so that people of all ages can benefit from the transformative power of spending time in nature.

Early giving is open now and will culminate in a celebration of philanthropy on May 3 and 4. The Mountaineers is rallying together with individuals, businesses, foundations, and organizations across Washington State to invest in our community. This grassroots-fueled giving event helps to build and celebrate the kind of Washington that we believe is possible. For us, it means that everyone has the chance to enjoy, explore, and steward our natural world.

We set a goal of $20,000 for GiveBIG and your gift can help get us there! A match challenge has been created to help mobilize Mountaineers like you and show that donations big and small can have a big impact. If 100 people make a donation of $25 or more to The Mountaineers, an additional $10,000 from a pool of Mountaineers donors will be unlocked and applied toward our goal.

GiveBIG will kickstart our month-long spring fundraiser. We hope to raise $40,000 through gifts of all sizes to support The Mountaineers Annual Fund. Unrestricted giving allows us to invest in the highest priorities of our organization. This kind of support ensures financial sustainability for all program areas no matter the economic landscape.
