#GiveBIG for Outdoor Education

Access to green spaces and wild places have played a critical role in supporting the physical and emotional wellbeing of our communities during this stressful time. At The Mountaineers, it is our mission to provide educational and experiential opportunities so that youth and adults of all ages can benefit from the transformative power of spending time in nature. As someone who cares about creating a culture of belonging in the outdoors, you can help build a welcoming community centered around safety, inclusion, and advocacy with a tax-deductible gift during #GiveBIG.

Early Giving Now Open for #GiveBIG

Every spring, we honor the tradition of grassroots fundraising by joining individuals and organizations across the Pacific Northwest to celebrate #GiveBIG. This year, we’re asking for your support to reach our $30,000 fundraising goal through gift renewals, small gifts, and first time donations. No gift is too small. It all adds up to big change.

Double Your Impact with a Match

Inspired by the volunteers who are leading the future of outdoor education, engaging new communities and young explorers, and advocating to protect and preserve our wild places, Peak Society Founders Rich and Martha Draves are once again extending a $10,000 matching challenge to help us reach our #GiveBIG goal. This dollar-for-dollar match means your $1 gift yields $2, your $10 gift doubles to $20, and your $100 gift transforms into $200. Will you help us reach this early giving goal?

How can I participate in the campaign?

  • Schedule your gift today! Early giving is officially open and you can double your #GiveBIG impact thanks to our $10,000 matching challenge from Rich and Martha Draves.
  • Do you have a life-changing story about your experience with The Mountaineers and want to share it with the rest of our community? Contact briv@mountaineers.org or call 206-521-6006.
  • After determining the amount of your own donation to The Mountaineers, consider leading your very own FUNdraising effort in honor of a volunteer, adventure buddy, or cherished wild place. Members who register as a FUNdraising Ambassador will be entered to win a Mountaineers Prize Pack. We can help!

Donations received via #GiveBIG will support The Mountaineers Annual Fund, which allows us to invest in the highest priorities of our organization and ensure financial sustainability for all program areas no matter the economic landscape.

Whether you're considering a gift of $5 or $500, it all adds up to big change.
