As a nonprofit embedded in the history and culture of the Pacific Northwest, The Mountaineers is your first stop to shop for the outdoor lover in your life. Gifting a Mountaineers membership is one way to say “get out there and have fun!”
Your loved one can activate their one-year membership whenever it makes the most sense for them. They’ll be able to access free activities; member rates on courses, events, and lodge stays; discounts on Mountaineers Books; and deals on gear and travel.
How it works:
1. Choose a membership type.
A 25% discount will be applied in your cart. You can continue shopping for books and maps or add more gift memberships.
2. Select a recipient.
You'll be prompted to provide the name and contact information for your recipient. Note that gift memberships are valid for new members only and cannot be used for renewals.
3. Choose a delivery option
- Email. The recipient will receive an activation code on the day you select. This is the best option for last minute shoppers!
- Mail. We can mail gift memberships to you or the gift recipient. We mail gift memberships on Mondays and Thursdays.
- In-store pickup. Your packet will be ready within one business day after your order at our Seattle Program Center Bookstore. Staff can provide personalized recommendations if you'd like to pick up a book to pair with your gift membership. Check our website for location and hours.
