Get More Kids Outside More Often

Every year The Mountaineers spends over $30,000 on transportation costs for our youth programs. Today we are asking our community to help us buy a van to call our own, allowing us to reinvest those funds back into our youth and programs. Would you join us in making a gift to get more kids outside more often?

Get More Kids Outside More Often

“We’re off to Great Places! Today is your day! Your mountain is waiting, so… get on your way!” - Dr. Suess, Oh The Places We’ll Go

Dear Friends,

We are going places! Our Explorers Program just came back from their annual 4-day climbing trip to Mazama; Mountain Workshops will be hiking in Snoqualmie Pass this week with Solid Ground as part of Rock the Park Program; and our summer camp field trips are coming and going every day, filling the program center with laughter, camp songs, and the smell of sunscreen.

Last year alone over 175 of our programs required a vehicle to reach the lands and waters where we play. To get to those places, we either paid to rent a bus or relied on our generous volunteers to drive their own cars.

Donate

We know getting kids outside is important. Our kiddos know that too. In the spirit of Dr. Seuss, a few of our campers wanted to tell you about the places they’d like to go:

Please help us make our van dream a reality.

Donate to get kids outside

P.S. Thanks to the support of a matching grant from The Bradley Family Foundation, The Mountaineers are halfway to our goal of purchasing a 14-passenger van. Help us get the rest of the way with a gift today
