Foothills Branch Seeking Chair-Elect to Join Our Dynamic Team

The Foothills Branch is seeking a new Chair-Elect to join our team this spring! This position is part of a 2.5-year term; the new Chair-Elect will begin ASAP and transition to a one-year term as Branch Chair on November 1, throughout which you will receive active support and mentoring throughout from the current chair and our strong branch council. Then, your last year will be serving as Past Chair, with a focus on supporting the chair and helping to mentor the next Chair-Elect.

The Foothills Branch is a vibrant and fast-growing community of members and volunteers on the east side of Lake Washington. We're looking for a candidate for the Chair-Elect position who loves to work as a part of a team to deliver great programs, is committed to developing and rewarding volunteers, is motivated to support collaboration among committees within the branch and across the club, and is passionate for The Mountaineers mission.

The time demand for the Branch Chair is primarily to plan and run bi-monthly meetings of the Foothills Branch Council, to regularly communicate with committees and staff to support collaboration and resolve issues, to assist the treasurer with annual budget development and mid-stream budget checkpoints, and to maintain strong connections with the other branch chairs through monthly meetings of the club-wide Branch Leadership Council. The chair also assists with recruiting and training of the chair elect with the help of the Past Chair.

Branch chairs leave the role with strong connections across The Mountaineers organization, an in-depth understanding of its programs and mission, rich experience in team leadership, and the deep satisfaction of helping in a significant way to deliver The Mountaineers mission to our communities in partnership with an amazing dedicated set of volunteers and staff.
