Create Outdoor Connections for Life

Halfway through our 2021 spring fundraising drive, we’re thrilled to announce a third matching challenge to help us reach 300 donors by the end of the month. This unique challenge welcomes you to consider any gift amount that is meaningful to you to elevate The Mountaineers legacy of outdoor education, integrity, and action.

Create Outdoor Connections for Life

Outdoor adventures offer us more than the simple reward of a beautiful view. Through time outside, we receive the gift of clarity and can discover a greater purpose. As we achieve our outdoor goals, we unlock the joy of feeling fully alive. The Mountaineers believes that everyone should have the opportunity to experience the beautiful infiniteness of nature, yet the keys to this kingdom are not found by simply walking out into the wilderness unprepared.

As a Mountaineers member, you know the path to obtaining these keys involves learning, preparation, and practice. It requires a community of teachers, accountability partners, and cheerleaders. And as we hear over and over again, this is the community that many discover through The Mountaineers:

The Mountaineers have inspired me to pursue the passion I have for being outdoors while providing the education I seek to do it safely. They’ve created the community, opportunity, and encouragement for me to do something unconventional, throw caution to the wind and move across the country to pursue happiness, not a career.”

Through your support, we have dramatically increased the number of people we serve, offering accessible outdoor programming to get more people outside and publishing books that provide hope for adventures ahead. This great work is made possible through the contributions of members and donors like you.

This May, 200 donors have already made a gift to help elevate our legacy of outdoor education, integrity, and action as part of our annual spring fundraising drive. Through the combined impact of two matching challenges, we’re only $2,500 away from reaching our $30,000 May goal.

Last year, 322 donors made a personally meaningful contribution to our springtime donor campaign. Now, halfway through our 2021 spring drive, we’re thrilled to announce a third matching challenge to help us reach 300 donors by the end of the month.

For the first time ever, an anonymous donor has agreed to contribute $25 for every person who joins the campaign before May 31, up to 100 donors. Whether you're renewing your annual gift or considering your first donation, you have the power to help us unlock up to $2,500 when you make a gift of any size to The Mountaineers.

Will you help us reach 300 donors this month?
