Birding in the Cloud Forest of Western Panama

Oct 23, 2019 | 7pm

Thomas Bancroft (naturalists committee chair) organized a trip for six Mountaineers to the cloud forest of western Panama. There they hiked for eight days into the remote forests to look for birds, monkeys, flowers, and tropical trees, finding more than one hundred bird species, three kinds of monkeys and many beautiful things. Their lodge rested at 6500 feet overlooking the Cordillera de Talamanca and the Rio Colorado.
