Our volunteers hosts at Meany Lodge are looking for several ski and snowboard instructors to join their wonderful team!
Located 10 miles east of Snoqualmie Pass, Meany Lodge is a perfect location for easy skiing and riding. The lodge rests on a private ski hill accessed by assorted rope tows. There are no resort lift lines here so you can get your miles in. In addition, the skill hill has plenty of terrain ideal for teaching beginners how to ski as well as intermediates who want to learn how to ski ungroomed snow.
At Meany Lodge, volunteering is more than just work. It's sharing our passion for playing in the mountains and snow with outdoor enthusiasts and people wanting to learn about skiing or snowboarding. It is a lodge where guests engage with each other over shared meals, bunkroom accommodations, and evening entertainment.
Join the fun this winter and help teach people how to ski and snowboard on the beautiful slopes of the Meany Lodge ski hill.
Duties and responsibilities
Volunteer ski and snowboard instructors will be expected to:
- Foster a community of passionate skiers and riders.
- Teach children or adults in group lesson formats on Saturdays, including walk-ins or multiweek programs.
- Act as an information and guest service resource to customers and other departments as required.
- Instill a respect for the great outdoors.
Knowledge, skills, and abilities
- Must have strong customer service skills and be able to effectively communicate with people of all ages.
- Must be able to take directions and work well in a team environment.
- Must have intermediate skiing or riding ability with a strong desire to learn and receive training.
- Any previous teaching, coaching, or mentoring experience is a strong plus.
