The Mountaineers
In the final push of our spring fundraising drive, we’re beyond thankful to the 270 donors who joined the campaign to help us reach our goal of 300 donors. If you haven’t yet joined the fun, we are only 30 people away from reaching our third and final matching challenge! This challenge invites you to consider any gift size that is meaningful to you. It all adds up to educational and experiential opportunities that get more people outside.
When you support The Mountaineers and Mountaineers Books, you provide the key ingredients, when combined, bring the magic to our outdoor community:
- People: As members, readers, volunteers, and donors, you support a community of adventurers who bring out the best in one another through a shared love of the outdoor experience and a legacy of education.
- Programs: Through our outdoor education programs, our staff and volunteers provide people of all skill levels with the inspiration, knowledge, and know-how to spend more time outside and pursue their outdoor dreams safely and responsibly.
- Places: Our connection to the natural world ignites our passion to protect it. As we cultivate this connection, we are better equipped to speak up for the trails we wander, the mountains we explore, and the waters we paddle.
- Publishing: As the world’s preeminent nonprofit publisher of conservation titles, adventure narratives, natural history books, and outdoor guides, Mountaineers Books leads readers to the lessons and pleasures of the great outdoors and amplifies stories that change lives and landscapes.
The Mountaineers culture of giving back is a tradition that spans for over 115 years, and our vision is to carry this tradition forward for generations to come. We mean it when we say a gift of any size makes a difference and helps us to achieve this vision. For our final matching challenge, an anonymous donor has agreed to contribute an additional $2,500 toward the campaign if we can reach 300 donors, and we are only 30 people away from reaching that goal! Whether you are considering a gift of $5 or $50, any gift size counts. We hope you’ll join us before the clock strikes midnight on May 31 to help us unlock our final matching challenge.
