Urban Walk - University of Washington & Union Bay Natural Area
Cherry Blossoms anyone? Peak season occurs between the third week in March and early April. Hopefully we’ll catch a nice morning on this loop walk to see the cherry blossoms on the Quad. We’ll also visit the Urban Horticulture Center before completing our loop.

This is a loop walk starting at University Village. We will walk on the Burke Gilman trail to UW campus and meander to the Quad to see the cherry trees. After a break, we’ll continue south through campus, walk down the Montlake Cut, then along the waterfront. We’ll follow some of the gravel paths in the Urban Horticulture Center before returning to UVillage.
For anyone who is interested, after our walk we’ll meet at a local restaurant for lunch and/or socializing. We can discuss restaurant options during our walk.
Meet shortly before 9:00 am with packs on and ready to walk. We will meet in UVillage in front of the north entrance to the QFC (on the sidewalk between the covered QFC garage and the entrance). There is some street parking in the neighborhood north of UVillage and good metro transit service; refer to transit app for specific routes.
