Urban Walk - Matthews Beach and Thornton Creek
We will follow Thornton Cheek, the largest moving water body in Seattle fron its mouth to its source. We will hike in several city parks one of which looks almost like a wilderness.

The focue of the trip will be Thornton Creek and its watershed. We will make several creek crossings on bridges as we work our way upstream.
We will meet ready to walk at 9:00 am at the east end of the parking lot in Matthews Beach Park located at 5100 NE 93rd St, Seattle, WA 98115, . There is parking at the park. The prefered way to get to the park is by Metro Bus 75. Which has a stop on Sand Point Way NE at 93rd Street. Parking lot access is by 93rd Street from Sand Point Way. The walk will end at 10049 College Way N, Seattle, WA 98133 near Northgate Transit Center and Light Rail where Metro Bus 75 can be caught at Bus Bay 1. Bus 75 can also be borded near the U-District Light Rail Station. There is parking at the Transit Station. Required Equipment
Water, snacks, appropriate outerwear, and sturdy shoes. Some of the trails may be muddy. Also, be prepared for rain.
