The project will include clearing a hiker's path through several down trees along the Woodard Bay Loop Trail, clearing storm debris from the trail and opening drainage areas to allow rain to drain properly off the trail tread.  NOTE: We will be working on the Loop Trail only which is open year around and not the Overlook Trail which is now closed to protect nesting birds.

We will be meeting at the Woodard Bay Natural Resources Conservation Area at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday April 16th.

Please note that this meeting location is on Woodard Bay Rd and Whitham Rd NE.  This parking lot overlooks a small channel of the Bay with a Kayak Launch.  We will meet you at the rear of this small parking lot to allow you to drive into the preserve.  There is another DNR trailhead in this general area about 1/4 mile to the East.  Occasionally people are confused and pull into the larger Chehalis Western Trail parking lot.

We will begin with a Tailgate Safety Briefing to review the steps all party members will need to follow to avoid personal injuries and, if circumstances warrant it, we will review the current COVID-19 protocol.
