Stewardship - Shadow Lake Nature Preserve
Mountaineers will perform trail maintenance, invasive removal, foreign object removal, and other stewardship activities in SHADOW Lake Nature Preserve. Tools and gloves are provided, but we encourage participants to bring their own.

Our stewardship activity is scheduled for Saturday from 10am-4pm.
Please come prepared with lunch, water, and bug spray, and any additional equipment you would like to have with you.
Appropriate attire should include pants and boots, as we will be working on and off-trail and around thorny plants.
We will be performing trail maintenance, invasive removal, foreign object removal, and other stewardship activities. Please come prepared for physical labor and communicate any limitations with the group leader ahead of time.
Our meeting point is at 21656 184th Avenue SE Renton, WA 98058 at the Richter Education Center, there is a parking lot and street parking available. When you arrive, please wait at the picnic tables. There is a full bathroom at this site.
At 10am, we will begin our safety debriefing and project overview, as well as emergency procedures. Please be ready to go with all of your things at this time to ensure a timely start.
At 10:15am, volunteers will shuttle to the work area to complete stewardship work. We will have a cart to shuttle volunteers and encourage volunteer shuttling. Parking is not available at this site.

Required Equipment
Tools and work gloves will be provided, but personal equipment is encouraged, especially gloves. Please come prepared in clothing appropriate for the activity and weather expected. Please come prepared with a packed lunch and water.
