From Evergreen Rotary Park we will be heading northwest under the Port Washington Bridge, aka Warren Ave Bridge, on the flood (less than 1 nm current) at a leisurely pace towards Phinney Bay. We'll then cross over to practice some boat control around the ruins near Tracyton Beach. We'll stop at Lions Park for a break as the tide changes and then return to Evergreen Rotary Park, exploring and finding opportunities for skills/rescue practice as desired along the way.
This is a mentored paddle, led by a Trip-Leader Candidate, and our goal for this trip is to explore the waters local to our Kitsap Sea Kayaking Branch of the Mountaineers while building comradery among our sea kayakers.
Meet at Evergreen Rotary Park at 9 am for a 10am beach talk and launch. We'll launch from the beach of the small inlet next to the boat launch. There are restrooms near the playground.
