Note: Distance and altitude gain stated above are for if we do Boulder Loop as well as Little Si. After we summit Little Si, we can decide if we want to descend straight back to trailhead, or add more altitude gain and distance via Boulder Loop.
If we go straight back, will be around 4.2 miles total distance and 1100' gain.
We'll start at the Little Si trailhead to the top of Little Si. There, we'll take a break to enjoy snacks (and any views). Please bring snacks and warm clothes to be ready to hang out at the summit for up to 20 minutes, depending on weather and the group's mood. Then we'll head back down the Little Si trail, deciding at the junction whether we'll take the Boulder Loop route back.
If your Mountaineer profile doesn't list a hike of similar distance and altitude gain in the last 2 months, please tell me via email when you sign up what you've hiked recently, and if nothing similar to this, how you stay in shape and what hikes you've done, even not so recently. Thank you.
Forecast is sun, but we'll hike rain or shine. (Only a downpour, strong wind, A LOT of snow, icy conditions, or other major weather will cancel, and none is forecast), so please be prepared with appropriate clothing and gear. Hiking poles are advised if you tend to use them on descents. If we're lucky, we'll get some interesting fog action at the summit, like we did this time last year.
Up to one (1) leashed dog is allowed on this hike. If you wish for your dog to come, please let me know that when you sign up so I can change this posting to say 1 dog is coming. If you don't want a dog to join us, please let me know that when you sign up, and I'll remove this paragraph.
Any doggy must be leashed the whole time and the doggy's human is responsible for picking up doggy's poop and carrying the poop bag with them -- no leaving beside the trail to pick up later.

We'll meet in the main Little Si parking lot ready to hike at 9:30 a.m.
Discover Pass required.
Driving directions from WTA: "Traveling on I-90 East, approaching North Bend, take exit for 436th Ave SE and turn left. Head 0.5 miles on 436 Ave SE and take a left on SE North Bend Way. Proceed 0.3 miles and turn right on SE Mount Si Road. The main parking lot for Little Si will be 0.4 miles on your left as the road straightens out after the bend (if you pass 439 Pl SE or 440 PL SE, you have driven too far).
There is an overflow parking lot west of the main lot tucked into SE Mt Si Rd and 434 Ave SE, ~.25 mile west of main lot. There is a trail connecting the two. There are two toilets in the main parking just off the trailhead. "
Please contact me if you wish to carpool from somewhere along I-90 with easy-on/off access between Seattle and North Bend.
