Day Hike - Anderson Island Parks

Take a ferry ride to Anderson Island and hike down to Andy's Marine Park at low tide. After a picnic lunch, head back inland for a forest hike at Andy's Wildlife Park. This is an easy and fun Family hike.

  • Moderate
  • Mileage: 4.5 mi
  • Elevation Gain: 50 ft

We will meet at the Steilacoom ferry terminal no later than 10:15 a.m. to catch the 10:35 ferry. We will consider carpooling  since the ferry costs $19.93 per vehicle and driver but only $5.92 per adult and $2.93 for kids 6-18.

The ferry ride is short but fun for kids and from the landing we will have a 10 minute drive to Andy's Marine Park.  We will spend about an hour there before ascending and taking a cut off trail to the other park where we will spend up to 2 hours in the woods before returning to our cars and catching the 4:25 ferry back.  If we miss that the next ferry is at 5:35.

This hike is for Families so all adults who sign up should be accompanied by a kid!
