Guye Peak is on the north side of Snoqualmie Pass and is the first peak seen from the Highway. We will take the Commonwealth Basin approach. This is a good snow scramble with great views of all major nearby peaks.
DRIVING INSTRUCTIONS:
Drive E on I-90 to the first Snoqualmie Pass exit. Cross under freeway to Alpental Road and drive ¼ mile to the turnout on the east side of the Alpental Road just past the Sahale Ski Club. Distance is 54 miles from Seattle 65th Park & Ride and the driving time is approximately 1 hr.
GEAR:
- Ice Axe is required.
- Trekking poles are recommended.
- No parking pass is needed at the trailhead.
ROUTE:
From the road we will follow the edge of the Sahale Ski Area into Commonwealth Basin around the east side of Guye, then head uphill to the ridge between Guye and Snoqualmie Mountain, and south/uphill to the summit. I will provide a topo map prior to the trip.
8:00 AM at 1/4 mile north on Alpental Road
