Come learn how the wildfire landscape in the Pacific Northwest is changing, how it’s impacting outdoor recreation, and what you can do to help. Members of The Mountaineers conservation team will share about increasing wildfire impacts, why wildfire education and safety are increasingly important, and how to make your programs wildfire-smart. We will also discuss policy opportunities to make public lands more fire-resilient, and the impact of the federal workforce reductions on Washington’s ability to fight wildfires.

This presentation will encourage attendees to speak up throughout the presentation and be interactive with prompting discussion questions interspersed within lecture segments. Breakout rooms will be used.
