Workshop Description

The longevity of the Mountaineers relies on effective engagement and instruction of its students. Not only are they the future climbers, kayakers, hikers, campers, and more - they are also the future instructors and leaders of our branches. Course and field trip leaders are in the strongest position to impact the legacy of our organization. 

This workshop is designed to strengthen the facilitation skills of course or field trip instructors. It will focus on creating a welcoming learning environment, developing coherent instructional flow, and evaluating learning. Participants will engage in interactive activities and discussion. They will leave with ideas for creating instruction that is centered on the student experience.
