This is our yearly offering of a week-long clinic to prepare leaders and leaders-in-training for leading multiday trips in the San Juan's and BC.  You will be required to plan a 7 day trip, which the instructors will critique in depth well before the planned event.  You will also be required to assume the roll of trip leader for one of the paddling days. On your day, you will need to present a pre-paddle briefing, a post-paddle briefing, and participate in a critique session with the instructors and other participants in the evening.  We will present scenarios along the way.  You will practice incident management events, use your navigation skills, discuss weather, and generally cover anything of interest to the group.  We will try and challenge your paddling and leadership skills along the way.  Participants will need to have taken a sea kayak navigation clinic, an incident management clinic, a wind and waves clinic, and an eddies and currents clinic.  Participants need to have kayak camping experience. There will be time to enjoy the sights of the islands as we paddle along, and we will likely have a day or two of non-paddle days. Be sure to read over the required equipment list. No alcohol or recreational pharmaceuticals allowed on the paddle.

Washington Park Boat launch, July 20, 2025. Time TBD.
