Do you dream of a multi-day backpacking, biking, or Nordic skiing adventure, no tent required? Do you yearn for a yurt? Are you nuts for huts? If so, Sam Demas and Laurel Bradley have advice for you.
In their Hut to Hut USA: The Complete Guide for Hikers, Bikers, and Skiers, published by Mountaineers Books, Demas and Bradley describe 16 hut systems across the nation (including the Rendezvous Huts for Nordic skiers in Washington’s Methow Valley). The authors have logged some 600 miles of trails across the Appalachians, Alaska, Minnesota, and the intermountain West.
In this in-person presentation, the authors share their experiences and tips for crafting your hut-hopping getaway. They'll have copies of their book available for purchase, so you won't forget essential details.
The event will take place 7 - 8pm at the Tacoma Program Center.
