Cougar Mountain has over 20 miles of trails on it but we will be focussing on the south side of the Mountain for about 9 to 10 miles. Trip in general: We will first go across the road to get some coal mining history in the area including seeing our first falls. Then we will go back across the street to our next stop in which we will go on a little used trail to the first outlook which is really nice. Then we will go to our second and my favorite falls on the trail. Then to the second outlook. After this it will depend upon the trail we take as to whether we will see 1 peak and 1 waterfall or 2 peaks and 2 waterfalls but we will defintely go up to the highest peak on Cougar no matter what way we go. So let's just have some fun on Cougar!
8:30am at the Red Town Trailhead on Cougar Mountain.
