PRACTICAL "HANDS ON" FIRST AID SCENARIO CLASS

  • For Beginners (Getting Started Series)

The Hands On Scenario class will be held at the Tacoma Program Center located at 2302 North 30th Street, Tacoma, WA

Class will start at 6:00 pm and go till approximately 9:00 pm.  

More information will be sent out prior to class start date. 

LEADER'S NOTES:  PRACTICAL REVIEW SESSION FOR THE WILDERNESS FIRST AID.

RESPONDERS WILL RUN THROUGH SEVERAL ACCIDENT SIMULATIONS REQUIRING THE APPLICATION OF THEIR FIRST AID SKILLS, AS WELL AS GROUP DYNAMICS AND RESOURCE MANAGEMENT. RESPONDERS SHOULD DRESS FOR OUTDOOR WEATHER CONDITIONS AND BRING THEIR PACK AND/OR GEAR THEY TYPICALLY CARRY ON AN OUTING.

To participate in this class you  must have attended a two day 16 hour WFA course.

The scenario class will be outside in the park just west of the Tacoma Program Center.  Dress according to the weather.  Wear clothes you don't mind getting dirty. You will be kneeling, sitting or lying on the ground.  Bring headlamp. 

Bring your pack and typical items you bring on an outing.  You can utilize these items in treating your patients. Bring your first aid kit and we can review it if time permits.

Bring snacks and water.
