Intermediate Field Trip #4 Emergency Self-Rescue - Leavenworth
This field trip practices methods that small parties can use to handle emergency situations without outside help including transporting injured climbers and rope systems for rescue.

This field trip will cover ideas and skills needed for small climbing parties to handle emergency situations. The particular skills we will cover are:
-Escaping the belay
-Passing the knot while lowering, rappelling or ascending.
-Assisted or counterweight rappels.
-Using wild (Natural) anchors safely.
- Practice proper lowering techniques for an injured party member.
