The Dingle Way Trek is one of Ireland’s most cherished long distance trekking trails. This 111 - mile trail, runs along the coastline of the Wild Atlantic Ocean. It boasts amazing coastal scenery with beautiful long sandy beach walks, aqua-blue colored ocean water and dramatic cliffs. Shades of green abound as it does rain a wee bit in this area! Sheep roaming the land are a constant along the way and a petting farm where the animals roam over an old ring-fort is right next to the trail.

The trail is rich with history - along the way you will see old famine houses, bee hive huts known as Clochans, standing stones with Ogham alphabet characters carved into the side of the stone, and ruins of a castle romantically positioned over-looking the water.

The trail takes the trekker from one small Irish village to the next where B&B’s, small hotels and a few hostels keep you warm at night. Local bands playing Irish music are found in several pubs along the way.

Sheri Goodwin of Transformational Trekking will share photos and stories of her latest trekking adventure along This Dingle Way Trek. You will learn the route, when to go, B&B’s along the way, fun pubs, ways to make the trek even better and how best to prepare for this transforming trekking adventure! You will also learn about a 12-mile trail along the Cliffs of Moher and highlights of the 95-mile Beara Way, a more remote peninsula trail, in Southern Ireland.

The presentation will begin promptly at 7PM and end at 8:30PM with time for Q&A at the end. The event will be held on zoom. An advance ticket will be required to receive the zoom link to join the presentation - you can get your ticket at the button below!

You can attend with a free ticket, but we hope that you will purchase a $10 or $20 ticket which will help The Mountaineers continue to deliver its volunteer-led hiking and backpacking programs, including events like this one! We hope you will join us!
