Virtual Event: Reducing The Mountaineers Carbon Footprint

Virtual Event: Reducing The Mountaineers Carbon Footprint

Join The Mountaineers Carbon Footprint Reduction Committee on Tuesday, November 14 for a virtual conversation about how we’re reducing our organizational carbon footprint, toward our ambitious net-zero vision.
21 ( 50 capacity)

The climate crisis is an urgent, existential threat to our communities, the natural landscapes we love, and the mission of The Mountaineers. That’s why we’ve committed to the ambitious goal of achieving net zero carbon emissions from direct organizational impacts as a part of our updated strategic plan.

We’re excited to invite our community to join our Carbon Footprint Reduction Committee online at 6:00pm on Tuesday, November 14 for an insightful and inspiring conversation about The Mountaineers carbon footprint reduction efforts.

Come hear committee members share why they’re so passionate about tackling the climate crisis and helping The Mountaineers reduce our organizational carbon footprint. You’ll also learn more about the energy-reduction projects that have already been implemented at our Seattle and Tacoma Program Centers, as well as at our Mountaineers lodges.

This virtual event will be a great opportunity to ask questions and learn how you can get engaged in these efforts and support this important work moving forward.

Please RSVP to attend and you will receive a Zoom meeting link on the day of the event.

Thanks to community programs and support from our members, we’ve begun to make great progress toward our carbon footprint reduction goals, but there’s much more to accomplish, and we need you on this journey with us. Together, we can adventure with purpose and shape a better climate for future generations.
