Three years ago Mike Brown started an adventure that forever changed the direction of his career, ambitions and pursuits. After quitting his job and leaving behind all the goals he had for himself, Mike built out a van and transformed it into an RV. This decision introduced a young 30-year old to the great outdoors for the first time. That, in turn, gave Mike his new passion for adventure photography.
In Mike's presentation, he’ll share what inspired all of his decisions, how he made it happen and what he's doing to sustain this lifestyle. From hiking to photography, we’ll comb through his inspirations, fears and process. His goal is to give a full-picture view of his journey that others can then implement in their own lives for their version of this freedom and passion. From gear talk, hiking & travel tips, and turning a new passion into a new career, we’ll go through it all!
This presentation will be done via Zoom. Be sure to RSVP so that you get an email with the Zoom link the morning of the presentation!
Houston-native content creator & Seattle transplant, Mike Brown, has been living the #vanlife traveling cross-country all while capturing America’s iconic landscapes.
Known as Nomad Pixels, his art embodies the strenuous self-journey he’s embarked – off the beaten path, non-traditional, with an adventure always at hand. The ultimate decision to be nomadic stemmed from a passion to live life to the fullest, unsatisfied with the regular status quo.
His days spent traveling in a van, and not depending on a regular 9-to-5 for money or happiness, has emphasized the sacredness of interpersonal relationships and his passion to inspire others.
