Seattle Pathfinders & Nomads Hike - Stegosaurus Butte

Meet at the Middle Fork Campground group site Friday evening around 6 to camp, or by 9am Saturday for the scramble.

Join us for a fun adventure that feels bigger than it is.

This relatively-short hike packs in sizable elevation over a short distance but rewards the steep climb with some incredible views (plus a walk through some lovely forest along the way).

We're also planning a campout at Middle Fork Campground Friday and Saturday. Those not camping for the weekend can meet us at the group site before heading out for the scramble Saturday morning.

Please note: while this is still considered a hike in summer months, it follows an unmaintained "climbers trail" and requires use of hands for stabilization on the steepest sections. It also features some exposure at the summit.

While these traits make it feel like a real "adventure" for Nomad's-aged kids, this is likely not a good hike for younger siblings, and smaller children could not be safely carried. We've successfully completed this hike in the past with a six-year-old and he loved the challenge and wanted to share!
