Every year, MAC hosts a Kick-Off Trip which serves as a try-out for prospective new members and a chance for all returning members to get reacquainted with one another over a weekend of rock climbing and hiking. We will have a couple groups each day going out to various crags and hikes, camping in Leavenworth at Spromberg Meadow Campground with a communal meal, all led by the senior MAC students or MAC leaders as they are known within the club and adult chaperones/Mountaineers staff.
This trip is community focused and should give anyone new to MAC a good idea of what our culture is like. Interested members need not pay/commit to the club before attending this trip, and will be invited to make their decision to join or not after this trip.
