  • Challenging

Mountaineers Program Center basement, 9am-3pm. Full day session.

Crevasse rescue is a skill you'll hopefully never need to use on a climb, but one you must know in case someone does fall in a crevasse. We will cover the "drop-C" raising system and the other situational awareness components of a rescue including communication, probing, etc.

Prerequisites: Attendance at at least 2 of the glacier skills practice nights. This workshop is required to go on glacier climbs during the summer.
