For spring-summer climbing trips: Attendance at all climbing workshops up to and including Anchors/Cleaning Routes and competence with lead belaying, lead climbing on bolts, anchors, and cleaning routes. Lead belaying badge (there is no "lead climbing" badge). The lead belaying badge signifies competence with the complete skill of lead climbing on bolts.  "Clean & Lower Badge", which signifies competence with building top rope anchors for bolted climbs and retrieving them when done climbing.

This trip will also require attendance at the rappelling workshop / competence with that skill / rappelling badge. First year MAC students wishing to attend this trip should plan on attending all of the MAC skills workshops and as many skills nights as possible.

Fee: There will be a small fee to partially cover the out of the ordinary fuel expenses for this trip. This works out to the trip participants taking on about half of the fuel costs, allowing carpool drivers to request full reimbursement of their mileage. Otherwise all usual expenses (camping, food, instruction) covered by Mountaineers.
