GoWalk! L5 March Urban Walks are low-stress activities to help you determine where you are after six months of urban walks. For some, these will be graduation walks if all course requirements have been met. This is a lovely loop version of Section 1, beginning at Golden Gardens Park to Shilshole Marina to Ballard Locks to Sunset Hill Park & back to Golden Gardens Beach Park.

Participation in 1 Urban Walk each month is required of GoWalk! participants. Enrollment in a second walk is encouraged.

L5 Urban Walks will be offered in March and will open for registration on Friday, February 7 nd at 12:00 pm. Register for a second urban  walk Friday, February 14 th at 12:00 pm.

This loop version of Olmsted section 1 is all about the water-starting with Golden Gardens Park to Shilshole Bay Marina, followed by the Ballard Locks, Gardens, and possibly the Heron Rookery if it is active, then the Burke Gilman Trail and up to the Panoramic Sound Views @ Sunset Hill Park. The loop will then descend via linked stairs to the Beaver Pond and return to Golden Gardens Beach Park.

* Meetup site updated: We will meet shortly before 9am @the Golden Gardens Parking Lot directly in front of the Children’s play equipment. This is near the far end of the lots and also where the bathrooms are. Golden Gardens Park: 8498 Seaview Pl NW, Seattle, WA

Please bring the 10 Urban Essentials in a small pack including water and snacks.
