December GoWalk! Urban Walks: 2 to 5 miles, 200 to 450 feet of elevation gain

Field trip: GoWalk!: Beginner Urban Walking Series

December GoWalk! Urban Walks: 2 to 5 miles, 200 to 450 feet of elevation gain - Green Lake (Seattle)

GoWalk! L3 January Urban Walks are low-stress activities to help you determine where you are in terms of gear, the pace (1.5 - 2 mph) and distance you can complete comfortably, and what your season goals for conditioning and walking are, so that you can determine what level of walks and pace would be the best fit for you to sign up for - no pressure, no judgment!

  • Easy
  • Mileage: 4.7 mi
  • Pace: 1.5-2.0 mph

Walk will start from Green Lake to Lake Washington and return via metro bus (or personal option). This will follow walk #10 of "Seattle Walks", by David Williams. The walk will give us the opportunity enjoy the late fall joys and vistas of the green lake, Ravenna park and Union Bay Natural area overlooking Lake Washington.

Participation in 2 Urban Walks each month is required of GoWalk! participants. Enrollment in additional walks is encouraged, as space permits.

L3 Urban Walks will be offered in January and will open for registration of a second urban  walk Friday, December 13.

Meeting Time: 9:00am
