Green Lake (Seattle)

With water and green space, Green Lake is a much-loved and busy Seattle urban park. It is a natural preserve for hundreds of species of trees and plants, and numerous birds and waterfowl. The 2.8-mile path around the lake is great for walking, running, biking, inline and skating and walkers. The parks athletic field and other facilities are great for boating, picnics, volleyball, baseball, swimming and family activities. The lake covers 259 acres and has a mean depth of 13 feet.

getting there

There are multiple ways to get to Green Lake and several parking areas.  The main parking area is at the Evans Pool at Latona Ave and East Green Lake Dr.
