FLOW - Fun and Learning on the Water - Lake Crescent
Practice rescues and maneuvers of every sort including re-entry and roll in a relatively safe location. Bring any boat(s)/equipment you want to try out/practice with. The hope is that there will be wind and waves but lack thereof will not cancel the event.

The purpose of this day is to provide a chance to practice skills you may be reluctant to attempt otherwise or just want more experience with. East Beach is relatively shallow, the shore is nearby and an easy launch. The hope is that there will be wind and waves due to the long fetch and prevailing wind (which usually blows toward the beach and safety) from the west. Everyone will support each other as we practice the skills each individual wants to hone. We will also set up some scenarios such as multiple swimmers, seperation of swimmers from their paddles and boats, injured swimmer, and any/all others we can think of. This is also a great time to try things like swimming/rolling while wearing a cagoule, re-entry and roll, accessing your spare paddle without help, etc. There is a restroom at the beach. You will need a National Parks Pass. A helmet is required (see below). The day will end when we are Level 5 boaters, tired out, or it's getting late, whichever comes first.
Meet at East Beach on Lake Crescent at 9 AM and launch at will.
