Essential Sea Kayak Skills - Lake Washington

DIRECTIONAL CONTROL CLINIC (sweeps, edging, and rudder strokes) - This part of a series of clinics focused on different topics to teach skills that every paddler should have - forward stroke, directional control, bracing/balancing/moving sideways, rescues & towing, paddling in currents, etc.

Basic competence in essential kayak skills in directional control will boost your confidence to paddle competently on a variety of trips.  We will cover sweep strokes, rudder strokes, and edging.  This is an introductory clinics, but all levels are welcome.  Participants must have successfully completed the Basic Sea Kayak class or equivalency.

Meet at Concrete Beach in Magnuson Park, at the Sail Sand Point launch area.  Be geared up and ready to begin the clinic by 9 a.m.  This is a 3-hour clinic.
