Review of Advanced Off-Trail Navigation Field Trip - Heybrook Ridge

This field trip is designed to familiarize current or aspiring lead and assistant instructors with the revised off-trail field trip at Heybrook ridge. The field trip will eventually be used as an optional off-trail navigational skills practice site after completing the Wilderness Navigation course which includes the field trip at Discovery Park.

Expect to do some bushwhacking. Maps will be provided. Bring PPE for your eyes, and gloves. Recommend a mosquito head net. Bring a Rite in the Rain notebook. Carpooling is very important since space at the trailhead is limited. Please try to get 3 people per vehicle. Note there is a Park and Ride in Goldbar and one in Sultan. Use groupcarpool.com. We will aim at getting back to the trailhead by 3pm.
